Apex
An app by Berean
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Apex (“we”, “the app”) is a focus timer that turns study sessions into Formula-style races. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account info (optional): if you sign in, your email address (or your Apple ID token if you use Sign in with Apple) and the racer name you choose.
- Focus data: the study sessions you finish — minutes, circuit, race type, team, and month — used for your history and the leaderboards.
You can use Apex without an account; everything then stays on your device.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not collect location, contacts, browsing history, or the content of what you study.
How it's used
- To run the app: save your races and power the monthly team, driver, and friends leaderboards.
- Leaderboards show your racer name, team, and focus minutes to other users. We never expose your email.
- Live duels share your live race progress (racer name, team, percent complete) with the members of a lobby you joined, for the duration of the duel only.
Where it's stored
Account data is stored with our backend provider, Supabase (PostgreSQL), protected by row-level security so only you can read or write your own records. Aggregates (team totals, top drivers) are computed server-side.
Your choices
- Sign out any time — the app keeps working locally.
- Delete your account and data: in-app via Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your account and all associated data. You can also email us at the address below.
Children
Apex is intended for students and general audiences. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
