Caduceus
An app by Berean
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Caduceus (“we”, “the app”) helps you track MCAT studying and compete with other test-takers. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address and a username you choose.
- Study data you enter: daily study stats (questions, accuracy, time, cards, CARS passages, missed-question reviews), full-length exam scores, topic mastery, reflections, XP, and streaks.
- Optional profile info: school, state/region, MCAT date, target score.
- Screenshots you upload to the AI Coach are processed to extract performance numbers only. We do not store the question content of paid third-party resources.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not collect precise location, contacts, or browsing history.
How it's used
- To run the app: save your progress, compute XP/streaks, and power leaderboards.
- Leaderboards show your username, region, streak, and aggregate stats (e.g., weekly XP) to other users. You can keep exam scores private. We never expose your email.
- To generate AI coaching feedback from the stats you log.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored with our backend provider, Supabase (PostgreSQL), protected by row-level security so only you can read or write your own records. Leaderboard rankings are computed server-side and expose only the limited fields above.
Your choices
- Delete your account: you can delete your account in-app (Profile → Delete account), which permanently removes your account and all associated data.
- Privacy of scores: choose how your full-length scores appear on leaderboards (exact, range, improvement-only, or hidden).
Children
Caduceus is intended for users 17+ (pre-medical students). It is not directed at children.
